Global excellence: ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app ranks 167th in QS World Rankings

Rankings highlight ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app's global research and innovation strengths, commitment to sustainability

The University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app (ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app) has maintained its position among the world’s top 1 per cent of universities, placing equal 167^th in the prestigious QS World University Rankings. Domestically, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app has maintained its 12^th place ranking, affirming its status as one of Australia’s leading research and teaching institutions.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app's strong performance in the rankings is underpinned by several key achievements:

• Research Citations: ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app has seen a continued increase in Research Citation scores over the past five years, ranking 52^nd globally and 4^th in Australia this year, an impressive rise of eight places from last year. This achievement reflects the high quality and global relevance of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app's research output.
• ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app: The University has climbed 13 places to rank equal 62^nd globally and 11^th in Australia for ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app, a testament to its commitment to sustainable practices.
• International Presence: ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app continues to excel in international engagement, ranking in the top 200 universities globally for two of the international indicators: International Faculty and International Research Network.

Acting Vice-Chancellor and President Professor David Currow said the rankings reflect dedication and hard work of staff across ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app’s network of campuses.

“The latest QS World University rankings underscore our ongoing commitment to excellence in research and sustainability,” Professor Currow said.

“The University’s remarkable performance in Research Citations is particularly noteworthy, highlighting the impactful research being conducted at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app. These research streams address global challenges and contribute significantly to the advancing new knowledge.
